Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to take this chance to let you all know some of the things I am grateful for. I'm grateful for my husband and that he is always understanding and loving. I'm grateful for my job and the people I work with. There are a lot of people without jobs out there and struggling to support there families. I need to remember that when times are hard and we are struggling that we really have a great life. I'm grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge I have of the Plan of Happiness! And the knowledge that I am sealed to my husband and family for eternity! What a great blessing! And I'm also grateful to go thru trials so that I can learn the good.

I hope everyone has a great Thankgiving!

Fitness..

So me and John decided that we are fat... haha We have just noticed that in this past year we have put on the pounds and we hate it! We have both gained about 20 lbs, individually.. It's amazing how much 10 lbs can make a difference. So we've decided that we are going to work out every night, because we are to lazy to get up early, and do some kind of workout. And we've decided to take turns being in charge of the workout. It's been pretty fun and sucks at the same time. The first night I was in charge and we did dancer-stretched and push ups, sit ups, crunches, etc... And I have to say I never thought John would be so open to stretching like that. I couldn't stop laughing the whole time the look on his face was awesome. I felt like I was back on the team and the girls were always watching the boys cry when doing killer splits! Not that John was crying he actually never complained, but I could tell it wasn't the most pleasant experience for him. I just have to say I have the most amazing husband! He will do anything for me to make me happy! And this work out was proof of that!

Halloween

This Halloween was a lot of fun! My sister-n-law Michelle had a little party with the family. We made carmel apples, watched a scary movie and had some yummy pizza.

David dressed up as Luigi..

John just looked like a zombie or something gross... haha

On actual Halloween day I did my mother-n-laws make up! It looked so real. She is a school nurse and she said all the kids thought it was real and really creepy! I think she had a lot of fun with it.

I just did some fun make up..

We had a pumpkin contest at work again and finally this year I won!! Got me some movie tickets! I did the three little green alien toys from Toy Story. All the little kids new exactly what they were.

John painted his pumpkin as an infinite Mario game. The old classic Mario! I think he did a really good job!

We also carved pumpkins with some friends. Mine is the cat and John's is of course the jeep!

Mini Pizza Dinner

Tonight me and John experimented on a new thing for dinner.. They are kind of like mini pizza's. They were so good! As soon as John ate the last one he said he wanted more.

All we did was take Pillsbury crescents rolls put whatever topping we wanted, rolled them up and cooked them according to the package of the rolls.

Her are all the toppings we put in our mini pizzas. Each roll is a little different.
-sausage
-ham (deli)
-mushroom
-olives
-onion
-cheese

In the time it took John to cut all that cheese and..... stack it.. I cut everything else. haha

We could have put spaghetti sauce in it but I think it would have been really messy to roll them up. I was thinking of using it for dipping sauce but we forgot to get it out. We used ranch instead.
It was a fun dinner to make together and super delicious!! Well definitely make this a regular meal at our house!!

Mission Reunion

This last weekend we had a mission reunion for my President and Sister Smith part of my mission. I had some great memories with them and loved seeing them again! It really feels like being with family when I'm with them. Here are a few pictures of some wonderful people from my mission.

In this picture is President and Sister Smith and some of my favorite sisters including some companions.

Sister Smith (my other mother)

President Smith (mi papi)

I love the reaction on their faces when Gaby jumped in the picture. Please ignore the face I'm making, yuck!

Elder Colton and Elder Merchant (it's still to weird to use their first names..) They were in my MTC district. Best district ever!! They are like brothers to me.

Me and Gaby De Alba. We were companions for 9 months in two different areas!

I love them!
I love mission reunions! I didn't get to say hi to everyone I wanted to, there was so much going on it seemed. They had a contest for the best Texan. And there was an announcement that Elder Lusk is engaged to Garnet Smith!! Wahoo!!

Welcome to the world!

My little sister Kaitlyn and her husband Brandon had their first baby. Zeign Ray Haggard was born March 28 at 4:44am. He was 5 lbs 13oz and 18in. And he makes grandbaby #6!
Here's Grandma with baby Zeign.

Zeign came into the word with a few obstacles. He was born about two weeks early. They induced Kaitlyn but a little further into labor she had a placental abruption. And they immediately did a C-section. In the process the doctor nicked his forehead when cutting Kaitlyn and found the cord was around his neck. They kept him in the NICU for a couple of days to watch him and make sure everything was ok before going home.

This is a picture of Zeign in the NICU. The bandaid on his forehead is the cut.

A plastic surgeon came in and glued the sore shut you can't even see the cut it's now just a little puffy. And his hair will cover scaring if there is any.
It looks like he's saying "Rock on!"
I just love him! He looks so much like Brandon but has Kaitlyn's coloring and big lips! Haha Isn't he just the cutest!

We can't really have pets in our apartment but we can have fishies! So we got a fish tank! The fish are soon to come. And of course if we are going to decorate it in any way it's going to be like Moab and a Jeep! John loves it! Even though we don't fish in it yet I keep catching him just starring at it. It's so cute!

The jeep even has a snorkel! If only it was red.. ;)

My parents guppies had like 30 babies so we are so going to take some and I'll post some pictures when we do!

Something I'm Grateful For.. LOVE :)

Norah loves John! John loves Norah! We were babysitting Norah the other night and Norah just couldn't get enough of John. She was laughing at every little thing he was doing and if he giggled just a little this is what happens..

Cutest thing ever!! If you can't tell because the picture is a little blurry John is only smiling at her and it was making her laugh so hard!! haha This is one of my new favorite pictures! I love them!

I saw on a blog that every Sunday she posted something she is grateful for. I thought that was a great idea except I'm going to try and post it Mondays instead. So that's what I'm grateful for that my family loves my husband and my husband loves them especially the kids! He would do anything for any of those sweet and crazy critters!
I'm at it again.. This last saturday I pulled out my sewing machine. I haven't had the time to work on my list of projects for a while. But I'm finally able to check one off my list. I made a cute red curtain for my little kitchen window. It really lights up the room. Every thing is white, the cabinets are white the counter top is white and the floor is white.
What do you think?...

Next on my list:
  • Pillow cases
  • Shower curtain
  • Grocery Bag Case
  • Tree & Peddle throws
Pictures to come..

Out with the old and in with the New!

John and I have made some changes to our family. We have sold our beloved Jimmer (grand cherokee). I think it was harder for me to see it go then it was for John. Never thought that would happen. I just associate so much to it. Like our first date, the first time we said "I love you" and our first trip together were all in that jeep just to name a few. We had a lot of fun together with that jeep but it's time came to an end and we had to find a new jeep.

Jimmer the Jeep

Our new jeep is a TJ Unlimited, John's dream jeep. I'm glad he was able to get a jeep he wanted and he says it's perfect for wheeling. So I'm pretty excited for summer to be here so we can get down to Moab! It needs a few fixes but it will definitely last a lot longer then jimmer would have.

I'm so excited to get on the rocks and have a great time with my babe!

1 Year Anniversary!

January 14th John and I have been married 1 year! I can't believe that I've already been married to my best friend for that long! It's true that time flies when your having fun. I have learned so much about John and myself this past year. I can't believe how motherly I have become.. haha I am a nervous reck sometimes when it comes to John going on ride alongs, bills ugh.. I hate bills, and just our family in general. I call myself Mrs. Paranoid! But what else I've also learned about myself is that my love for John grows more and more everyday! I didn't know that was possible because I already thought I loved him so much! I've learned that John is the most caring, easy going, selfless person I have ever met! He is so good to me and cares about my needs always before his own. Sometimes I feel so selfish compared to him. He is very good at helping me keep my faith in the future and that anything is possible and in our reach. He is such a wonderful person and I feel so blessed to have him in my life for forever!
For our 1 year anniversary we went up to Salt Lake and spent the night at the Anniversary Inn and then went to the Outlet Mall in Park City and just spent the whole weekend together relaxing and spending time together. It was so nice! This is a picture of us leaving the hotel the next day! Aren't we so perfect together!?
John, babe, I love you so much! I can't believe this is my life to spend the rest of it with you!

Happy 2011!

So much has happened in 2010 and I feel like I have been so blessed. So I thought I would give a quick recap of what happened with John and me in 2010!
So starting off the new year John and I were married January 14, 2010. It definitely was the best day of my life and I don't think I'll ever forget the way I felt that day being sealed to my very best friend for all eternity!
January 27th I believe is the day John's little brother Max left on his mission to Argentina. We are so proud of the work he is doing! And having served missions ourselves know of the blessing that can come from serving a mission not only for the people you are serving but your family, friends, and yourself! It's an experience he will relate to for the rest of his life!
January 29th I turned 25 years old!! Holy Crap I never thought that day would come!! haha It's almost my birthday again and I still accidentally tell people I'm 24..

In March the Gomez family, one of my most favorite family's I taught on my mission, for 8
months might I add came to Utah to be sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City
Temple! I felt so much joy for that family that day! I felt like its was my own children going
to the temple.

Also in March (the date is unclear) my mom had a bad accident and broke both of her shoulders. And just three days later had to have surgery on both of them! Replacing her right shoulder and placing a pin in her left shoulder! It was very dramatic and very scary!! Both John and I felt it was very important to be there for her and my dad so in just 6 days we sold our contact at our apartment and was moved into my parents house. There we stayed for about 5 months. I'm very grateful that we were able to be there for my parents. We now have an even better relationship with them! I love them!
While living at my parents I got a second job at Gas in Go gas station. But for only about two month to make a little extra money and something to do while John was in school. Which brings me to the next point..
John started POST the Police Academy in June! He did very well one of the top in his class! I'm very proud of how hard he is working. He's dream is to be a police officer so he can really get out there and help! He is such a wonderful person and very brave might I add! It scares me to death to think of the work he will be doing, but I also think it takes very special people to do that service, not job, service!!
In September we moved!! My mom healed quite well and is doing great! So we felt it was time to move into our own place again. I love it! We moved into a cute little 2 bedroom apartment and got a steal of a deal. The ward is fun and is very young. We're still getting to know everyone.
Me and John had our first Christmas together! It was so much fun! We got surprise bonus' at work and felt so blessed! We had a home made christmas by making all of our decorations!! It turned out so cute! John is very talented and made some beautiful snow flakes. People even bought some of his snowflakes.
December 31st my baby sister Kaitlyn got married! My mom planned the wedding in just one week and it looked wonderful and Kaitlyn looked beautiful! I took her bridals and engagements, makeup, hair, and nails. I'm glad that I was able to help out so much! John took a lot of the pictures of the wedding, we make a great team!

And that was our 2010. Quite busy.. but it was great!
I've been trying to think of some New Year Resolutions, but I'm not doing so well. I think its because I call them resolutions I like goals better. I've only come up with a few goals..

Goals for 2011
  • Eating healthier by cooking more; 6 days out of the week!
  • Start crafting more. A new "big" project every month by sewing or painting.
  • Piano lessons! I finally found someone to teach me piano and I'm so excited to learn!
  • Reading El Libro De Mormon! To better my spanish. (very important)
  • Getting a concealed weapons permit..
  • Better my knowledge at work so I can be more productive and NEVER be scared to help a customer!
  • Bills, bills, bills.. I'm going to cut down my bills in half!!
  • Be better at saving my money for our future home and family!
  • Becoming a better person by focusing on being more POSITIVE!! Sometimes it's really hard for me to not worry about everything and thinking the worst could happen. Relaxing a little more..
Ok I guess I had a few more goals then I thought.. I have a feeling this is going to be a great new year!

I've already started one of my goals, crafting! Well first I reorganized our spare bedroom, put some shelves in and bought a cute table for my new "Sewing Room"! It's so fun I can't wait to get started on all the sewing ideas I have. There are seriously so many! But first I wanted to spruce up the room a little with a cute clock. I got the idea from the Make it and Love it blog. I got my very plain big white clock at Ikea and added some fabric and pink rosettes and it just adds so much to the room! I love it!

The rosettes make it so fun!

My clock on the wall!
