I've been meaning to get these pictures up on the blog, but my internet sucks! I'm in Cosmetology school right now and we did a photoshoot for bridals. My model was my sister-n-law Michelle. She is gorgeous! And can still fit in her wedding dress!! Lucky! And Laina was the little flower girl. It was so fun to do and her hair and make up turned out great! Laina loved the attention of sitting in the chair while getting her hair and makeup down. She had a big bruise on her forehead so I concealed it :) The pictures look so good and I'm glad that I got some cute pictures of Laina all dressed up. Thanks Michelle for helping me!!

18 months already!
What happen to my little baby!? I now have a very independent, sassy, full of energy and smart little girl! She'll be 19 months next week. She is so much fun right now. She picks up on things so quickly now. I can show her something once and she has it down. But with all those smarts comes the sass! She thinks she can anything and everything and it gets tough sometimes. The terrible twos are sneaking up on us... But with that I love my girl she is my best little pal and I don't know what I would do without her!! Even tho I'm in school we are hardly apart because she comes to school with me everyday. And the days she is with her daddy on his days off I still go into the daycare thinking I'll see her. And then miss her!
Today was her 18 month appointment. Lots of paper work this time determining her development and problem solving skills and possible Autism. The doctor said he wasn't concerned at all! I told him how she won't say a word or animal noise when I tell her to say it but at the appropriate times she says those words without being told. Like, thank you, all done, see ya, ok, why, no, and yes. So as soon as he leaves the room I told her to say "car" and she did and every word I asked after that! Stubborn girl!! Does she understand that I was telling the doctor I was frustrated about that!? Probably not.. We also came to the conclusion that she will probably be pretty short, shorter then me if we were going to bet on it. Here are her stats: weight 24 lbs 69%, height 31 in 17%, head circ. 18 1/2 in 67%.
Here are some pictures from the last month or so. The first picture was taken on Valentines day. She really didn't want her picture taken so this was the best one I got...
So independent loves having her own drink when we go out to eat. (it's only lemonade)
She loves books! She can really sit and read for 30 minutes straight. She concentrates so hard and makes a funny humming noise every time she concentrates on anything. Everyone gets a good kick out of it.
Our little shopper. She found that head band with the fuzzy hears and walked around the store picking things out. I was going to buy the head band until I saw how much it was... I'll just make her one..
In day care they were playing with shaving cream.
I love this. I found one of her old bottles when I was unpacking and she got her baby right away when I gave it to her. It's like her motherly instinct kicked in!
She wanted earrings like me so I stuck big smily face stickers on her ears. She never touched them and got mad at me when I took them off in the tub!
I don't know what it is about the picture but the combo of the hair and my shirt she reminds me of Princess Leah! Haha She was obsessed with that shirt for weeks.
Goof!
Love this girl!
BABIES!!!
This past month I had the privilege of taking pictures of my two cousins babies. They are sisters and had them about 2 1/2 weeks apart. Wouldn't that be so fun!! Both beautiful babies, I loved every second of it! I'm definitely not a professional but it was fun.
First came Calais. She was tiny!! 6 lbs 11 oz same as Laina. Isn't she a beauty! I couldn't help but think of my Grandpa Daley while taking her pictures. She looks so much like him!
This is my favorite picture of Oliver with Grandpa. I couldn't resist posting this picture. Its so sweet!
Christmas
Way late post but I wanted to share these pictures.
This year we spent Christmas at my parents house. It was a lot of fun with Zeign and Laina together. They kept running back and forth to check out what each other got. I'm so very grateful to my parents for letting us live with them for a few months. And I'm grateful that Laina was able to be so close to her grandparents. She has such a bond with them now! I love it!
As tradition in my family. My parents always put a blanket up to the room with the presents from Santa. To make sure we didn't see what we were getting before my parents were ready. I love this tradition because when we were all up we would go into the bathroom and bang on the wall to wake up my parents on the other side of the wall. Then my dad would always come in and say "A herd of elephants woke me up!"
Laina loved her kitchen set! She wouldn't open her presents after seeing it.
John and his mad gift wrapping skills! That cool looking bow is hand made. I don't know how he thinks of this stuff.
This Christmas was so special to me because I was able to spend it with both my families. Sharing all the same traditions I did with my daughter in my childhood home. It was a sweet feeling. I love my family and am so grateful to spend times like these with them. I'm grateful for my Savior and the love He has for me to give me the opportunity to have an eternal family. And for my Heavenly Father for sending His Son.

Laina was 15 months in October but forgot to update. Back in October she weighed 23 lbs 70%, and was 30 inches 20%!! She's still my sweet and chubby baby. She is perfectly healthy and has 6 teeth! She started walking right before her 15 month mark. We thought she would walk sooner because she had such good balance before she was crawling but as soon as she started walking she was cruising! I think she was talking steps when we were looking. And I think she was scared to walk around the other kids in day care. I took 3 weeks off from school and the 2nd day home she was walking.
She is living up to her hair color stereo type "fiery red" She is miss personality plus with some sass! She is super entertaining but we get quite a few tantrums.. She definitely likes things done a certain way. She's very independent! She can focus on a book for 30 min at a time! She loves TV especially mickey mouse Club house. We've taken her to the movie theater a couple of times and she sits really good through more then half of the movie but then usually falls asleep.
She is talking pretty good. She says mom, dad, Laina, teddy (the dog), thank you, we go bye bye, bath, duh duh(which means look look haha) no (in the cutest way) yeah.
I can't think of any more right now.
The other day she hit her face on a glass table and under her eye started to bruise instantly she my mother-n-law gave her an ice pack but she didn't want me to help her hold it on her face. She took it from me and held it there herself. So we put blanket down and she laid down with the ice pack. Silly girl!
This picture is of Laina on our little lunch date at JCW. She told me she didn't want anything but then ate all her food. She is such a good eater! Her favorite foods are any green vegetables and meat!
The other day I had the flu. Laina was so good to keep herself busy while John was at the store. At one point she found my bra in the CLEAN laundry and was having the best time trying to wear it and playing with her other toys. She was wearing it like a necklace. You can kind of see it in this picture.
She's in a toddler bed now. She loves it! She falls out of bed quite often though. We have a pile of pillows down so she never gets hurt. She's usually really good to just climb back in bed without even making a peep. She loves books too! I can sit her in bed with a book for an hour and she won't budge.
She loves wearing hats. She finds them in the day care and will wear them almost the whole time. I would put hats on her all the time but she likes taking them off and putting them back on.
