22 weeks

How Far Along? - 22 weeks!

Total Weight Gain? - As of my last appointment 15 1/2 lbs! I couldn't believe I had gained 13lbs in 4 weeks.

Stretch Marks? - none that I can see.

Sleep? - It's definitely changing and not always for the best. Some nights I sleep really well and others I just can't find a good spot.

Best Moment This Week? - I finally decided what colors I'm going to do the nursery in. Spring colors! I was painting my nails one night and I found all the colors right there in my nail polishes that I've been thinking of doing! I can't wait to get started on it!

Miss Anything? - sleeping thru the night and cuddling with John as I go to sleep. Now we have a giant body pillow between us. Some nights I'll wake up and he'll be sleeping with his arm around the pillow with his hand barely on my shoulder. It's so sweet!

Movement? - all the time! I think John will be able to feel her soon!

Food Cravings? - Everything!! Today - brownies.

Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick? - no

Gender: - GIRL!

Labor Signs? - no

Belly Button in or out? - in but its getting a lot smaller

Wedding Ring, On or Off? - on, I don't dare take it off I'm afraid I won't get it back on.

Happy or Moody most of the time? - Happy

Looking forward to - John feeling the baby move, really starting on the nursery, and my next ultrasound at 30 weeks!

Baby is the size of a - Spaghetti squash 8 inches & 1 lb!

Baby's development this week - She's got quite the grip now and is practicing it all the time. Her eyelashes and eyebrows are well formed now too. And hair is starting to grow on the top of her head!

Today when John and I got home from work we went for a walk in our backyard area. It was such a nice day we couldn't resist. And since I am 22 weeks today I needed to take a picture of my growing belly so John took a bunch! Here are a few of my favorites. He did a really good job!

Probably my favorite because you really can't see me and how chubby my face is getting. That's where the 13lbs went!

Fun week!

This week has been fun. It was Zeign's first birthday on March 28th. We took him to the Living Planet Aquarium and he loved it! It was so cute he couldn't get enough of the fish. He was so giggly and happy the whole time. Here are a series of pictures me and John took of all of us there together.

On Sunday was Alice's blessing. She is getting so big and she is so cute! Shawn did a really good job on the blessing. I don't know if its mainly because of being pregnant or the spirit was really strong but I pretty much cried thru all of sacrament meeting.. I can't wait to be sitting in sacrament listening to John give our baby girl her blessing.

On Friday we went to my mission reunion. Not a lot of missionaries came that I served with, but it was really nice to see Pres. and Sister Smith!

20 weeks!

How Far Along? - 20 weeks 1 day. Half way done!

Total Weight Gain? - I'll find out tomorrow but I have definitely gained some weight this belly is big!

Stretch Marks? - nope!

Sleep? - its alright I'm getting use to sleeping on my sides.

Best Moment This Week? - we got to see our baby for the first time via ultrasound! It was amazing and surreal. She is perfect!

John and I wore pink and took pink cookies to work today to celebrate that we are having a baby girl!

Miss Anything? - sleeping on my back and belly, and my super hot baths..

Movement? - she's moving like crazy now!

Food Cravings? - I've been a big fan of peanut butter and chocolate chips, it's so good!

Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick? - I've been good.

Gender: - GIRL!

Labor Signs? - no

Belly Button in or out? - in

Wedding Ring, On or Off? - on, I don't dare take it off I'm afraid I won't get it back on.

Happy or Moody most of the time? - nervous, stressed, and HAPPY! I start bawling almost every time I laugh really hard. The mood swings are here and are having fun.

Looking forward to: getting the nursery set up. And John says "feeling the baby".

Baby is the size of a: banana! 6 1/2 inches and about 12 ounces!

Baby's development this week: baby is swallowing more and is producing meconium.

18 weeks

How Far Along? - 18 weeks

Total Weight Gain? - 2 1/2 lbs

Stretch Marks? - nope!

Sleep? - hmm.. some nights are interesting. I've started snoring and it wakes me up all the time... It's actually really funny sometimes.

Best Moment This Week? - felt the baby move twice this week!

Miss Anything? - coke

Movement? - 4 times total!

Food Cravings? - everything now! You mention it and I probably want it. My appetite has come back times 10!

Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick? - no not really anymore

Baby is the size of a: sweet potato and the length of a bell pepper

Baby's development this week: 5 1/2 inches long and weighs almost 7 ounces. Baby's ears are now in their final position and a protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around it's nerves.

16 Weeks

How Far Along? - 16 weeks 4 days

Total Weight Gain? - 3 lbs sinces my 12 week appointment so a total of 2 1/2 lbs.

Stretch Marks? - nope!

Sleep? - it has been a lot better since I got a huge body pillow! I still wake up about two times a night tho.

Best Moment This Week? - My friend let me borrow her doppler and it was so fun to be able to find the baby's heart beat all on my own in my bedroom. Me and John were all giggles.

Miss Anything? - My hot showers and sleeping on my belly and my back.

Movement? - I have thought so but its hard to know because this is my first pregnancy.

Food Cravings? - cheese! pretty much anything with cheese will please :)

Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick? - stinky people ;)

Baby is the size of an: Avocado

Baby's development this week: 5 inches long and 3 1/2 ounces the size of my open hand. Baby is listening up now, the doorbell will actually startle it! And baby's fingerprints are starting to develop.

Baby Alice

I recently spent the day at my sister Michelle's house. We had a fabulous lunch and I took a bunch of pictures of her new sweet baby girl Alice. She sure does move a lot! I have some pretty funny pictures with the faces she was making, but here are a couple of my favorites!

When ever we laid her down she never wanted to look at the camera but I think this one looks great.

Our Big News!

On December 17th I took the test and it didn't take the full 3 minutes to see that I am pregnant!

We are clearly super excited about this news. A question everyone has been asking is if we were trying and YES! We didn't want to wait any longer to make an addition to our family!
On January 27th I had my 12 week appointment and got to hear our baby's heart beat. For me that made it real and official. I'm really having a baby no doubt about it! So two days later on my birthday we told my family when they came over for cake and ice cream. I was surprised to see our clueless everyone was to our news. I don't have any pictures of that because John just took a video of there reaction. I'll post that soon.
Then January 31st we got to pick Max up from the airport after returning home from a 2 year LDS mission to Argentina! We spent the day catching up with him. We saved his christmas presents so he opened all of those and he gave us the souvenirs he brought back. One of the weirdest things he had was a mug made out of a cows hoof..

But after all of that we broke the news to the family and they were just as surprised and shocked as my family was! But finally what a relief the world knows!

Just about one week later when I was at 14 weeks I started to show! Good thing we told everyone when we did. Here's a picture of me at 14 weeks. I look bigger in a dress..
